What about someone else along those same lines, only perhaps someone with grace and generosity to go along with her fame? I'm thinking you might like to read one of Audrey Hepburn's biographies. One is called "Audrey Hepburn" and was written by Barry Paris. The other is "Audrey: Her Real Story" by Alexander Walker. Both are in print, and available from Amazon.com. It was an excellent biography that read like a novel. Another excellent biography is The Life of Charlotte Bronte by Elizabeth Gaskell (her contemporary and friend). You may also enjoy A Memoir of Jane Austen by James Edward Austen-Leigh (her nephew); excellent. If you are allowed to read an autobiography as well as a biography, I'd suggest Benjamin Franklin's autobiography or Anne Frank: The Story of a Young Girl or The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom or The Story of My Life by Helen Keller.
